Additional Details

– Shy pup who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; tends to be pretty cautious at first, but warms up fairly quickly and once he has formed a relationship with you, he will come up to you for pets

– Will likely open up more in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home

– Knows sit and likes treats

– Does best with a harness on walks

– Young, noisy or busy children may be too much for him at this time; would probably be happiest in a more mature home

– Can be a bit cautious of new dogs and somewhat of an introvert; may enjoy and benefit from a confident, understanding dog friend who can help him come out of his shell (dog intro recommended)

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
