HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org — – Very sweet kitty who adores attention; arrived quite shy, but has really opened up in her foster home – Loves to run, jump and play, and often carries a puff ball around in her mouth; her foster family said she’s great at entertaining herself with toys – Is an avid bird watcher – May still need time to open up in a new home, so she’s looking for a patient family who will let her take things at her own pace; may do best starting out in one room and being slowly introduced to the rest of the house – Has lived with other cats and has done well with them; would likely enjoy a cat buddy in her new home This cat came from a hoarding situation where they did not get the socialization that house cats typically get from a young age. Find more info here about cats from hoarding situations and how to work with them to set them up for success. |
