– Full of energy and loves playing with toys

– Loves people and will come right up to you for pets; will also bring his toy and sit near you or even in your lap

– Very goofy and curious; likes to peek in every open doorway and watch everything that’s happening around him

– Enjoys working on chews and chewing on toys

– Likes to sleep curled up in a little ball on his blanket

– Knows sit and loves treats, especially cheese, so training will be fun

– Was crate-trained and mostly potty trained in his previous home

– Has lived with teenagers, but young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him; would benefit from a more mature home

– May take some time to warm up to new dogs and may prefer some dogs over others; may do best with a more relaxed, low-key dog friend and would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to new dogs (dog intro recommended)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
