– Total lap dog; loves flipping and flopping to get into her foster family’s laps – Loves to stick her head out car windows – Follows her people around everywhere – Likes to sleep by her people’s feet – Has the sweetest, silliest smile – Very cuddly – Does well on a leash – Can be nervous around loud noises or fast movements – Doesn’t like being in her kennel at night and would prefer to be with you – Could use some work on manners when she’s feeling stressed – Enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style but tends to be an introvert around other dogs and may prefer one-on-one interactions or smaller groups of dog friends; would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to other dogs (dog intro recommended) – Curious about cats but has not interacted with them much – Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her (mature home recommended) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to fosterinquiry@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
