– Fun guy who recently went on a Dog’s Day Out field trip and had a great time: “Artemis was fantastic, very playful and loving. He did not bark once the entire time he was with us. He loves to give hugs and kisses. He is a very good listener and was always coming to us when we asked him to.”

– Very smart and knows sit, shake, down, and roll over

– Sometimes may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home

– Looking for a teens-and-up home right now

– Tends to avoid other dogs (dog intro required)

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
