– Likes people, toys and being petted; enjoys carrying around his toys and playing tug – Recently went on a Dog’s Day Out field trip, and here’s what his human companions said: “He’s very people-oriented and will make unwavering eye contact He is a big lug that is full of loving energy and seems like he is always searching for his people. He walks easily and rides well and has the cutest expressions – especially the way his one ear perks almost straight up while the other stays flopped ” – Very smart! Already knows sit and shake and has responded well to clicker training; also loves treats so teaching him more would be fun – Met a preschool-age child here in the shelter and did well – Would probably enjoy a dog friend who matches his energy This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
