HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org — – Very sweet and laid-back kitty who enjoys being in the same room with you and welcomes lots of attention – Likes being petted all over and especially loves head rubs – When feeling playful likes plush catnip toys and wand toys – Loves cat treats and bird watching! – Loves to be up high, so she will love a tall cat tree in her new home – Will thrive in a calm, quiet home (quick movements and loud noises are scary to her) – Likes to sleep next to you at night – Based on her history, she may be happiest as your only cat – Takes time to warm up to strangers, so let her go at the pace she feels comfortable with – Young, busy children are too much for her, so she is looking for a mature home – This cat can be fearful and may need extra time to adjust.
