– Huge sweetheart who loves being around his people and will get very attached to those in his inner circle

– Foster family says he seems in tune with his humans’ emotions at comes to comfort them if he thinks something is wrong

– Enjoys playing tug-of-war with toys and LOVES bones and treats

– Foster family says he is potty trained and does well when left home alone, just remember any dog may need time to adjust to a new schedule and routine

– Foster family says he does well in the car but really wants to be close to his people and may do best with a dog seatbelt; has done well on hour-long car trips with his foster family

– Will follow his foster family around when they first get home, then settle down and lay is head on their shoulders or lean against them for love

– Super smart and loves to learn; already knows sit and shake and would likely enjoy learning more skills with you

– Has been making progress on leash walking in his foster home; may do best with a harness

– Foster family says he has done great with kids in their home and was very sweet and patient with children under 2 who wanted to give him love

– Enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style; enjoyed going to the dog park with his foster family and making new friends

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
