Additional Details

– A goofy potato who likes to lie on the couch with her head hanging off it

– The perfect level of cuddle bug; enjoys lying with her head or paw on you, but isn’t a velcro dog; will happily sleep in bed with you if you let her

– Great in the car and typically sits and looks out the window

– On walks loves to sniff everything, enjoys water and puddles and is unbothered by small animals

– Likes Nylabones and removing the stuffing from plush toys

– Favorite pastimes are snoring on the couch and sighing at you while you put your shoes on to take her outside because you’re taking too long

– Knows sit, shake, and lay down and is happy to show you for treats!

– Did well with housetraining in her foster home and would get up and look at her family when she needed to go out; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine

– Has been kid-friendly, both in her previous home and while in our care

– Can be uncomfortable around other dogs and is looking for a home where she’ll be the only dog

– Looking for a home with no cats

– Overall, a really good girl who may be great for a first-time dog owner or someone older who’s looking for a couch companion

This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
