❤️Sometimes love is right in front of you … and you just miss the connection. This dog is part of our Missed Connections club – a group of our most patient pups who’ve been waiting longer than others to find their soulmate. Take a closer look – they could be your perfect match! Adoption fee: $45. A lifetime of love: Priceless.❤️

– Incredibly sweet and loving girl who enjoys playing fetch and spending time indoors and outdoors with her people

– Plays with toys like a puppy and loves de-stuffing her stuffies

– Spent time in a foster home and did well accompanying her foster family in public, including to places with patios

– Tends to stick near the people she knows best and warms up to others in time

– Walks well on a leash and has a good start on potty training

– Uses her kennel as a comfy space when her people are home and enjoys lounging and napping in it; not a fan of being left in her kennel when her people are gone, so may need some help with that from her new family

– Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her; did well when meeting a child in her foster home, but loud noises and commotion can make her anxious so she’ll do best in a calm home with more mature family members

– Lived with another dog in her foster home and prefers dog friends who are not too in-her-face and still have some puppy playfulness; not always a fan of sharing her food and toys, so if she goes to a home with another dog, those things may need to be managed, including having separate feeding areas

– Tested heartworm positive and has received her full course of treatment; will receive a free recheck at the ARL in a few months to make sure she’s in the clear (more info at ARL)

– May have allergies (more info at ARL)

This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
