HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org — – Petite, shy cat who will thrive with a patient person or two who will give her time to open up and become comfortable; looking for someone who loves the quiet life just like she does – Has a lot of love to give, and once she feels secure, she may come share the couch with you and ask for pets and snuggles – Has lived with other cats and is also doing OK with a dog in her foster home – Young, busy children are too much for her right now, so she’s looking for a calm, peaceful home with more mature family members – Does best when she starts out in one room and is slowly introduced to the rest of the house after the course of a few days This cat came from a hoarding situation where they did not get the socialization that house cats typically get from a young age.
