Additional Details

– Spent time in a foster home and was definitely a couch potato; he loved to be around his foster family and was happy to just lounge

– Likes tennis balls, squeaky toys and attention

– Prefers to explore and do his own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once he’s in a home environment and has had time to decompress

– Knows sit and shake and walks nicely on a leash

– Lived with another dog previously, but can be socially awkward around new dogs (dog intro required)

– Did well with the cats in his foster home and left them alone for the most part

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
