Additional Details

– Spent time in a foster home and was definitely a couch potato; he loved to be around his foster family and was usually happy to just lounge

– Does have some youthful energy for his age and LOVES tennis balls! Also likes squeaky toys and attention

– Was fully housetrained in his foster home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine

– Knows sit, lay down, drop it and shake and walks nicely on a leash; takes treats gently

– Did well when his foster family gave him free roam of the house when they were gone; just lay by the door

– Rides nicely in the car

– Lived with another dog previously, but can be socially awkward around new dogs (dog intro required)

– Did well with the cats in his foster home and left them alone for the most part

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
