– Prefers to explore and do her own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once she’s in a home environment and has had time to decompress

– May need some time to warm up to new people, but once she knows you she likes to stick near you

– Loves playing with toys and will bring them all back to you so you can throw them again; loves to play tug, and toys are a great way to bond with her!

– Does best with a harness on walks

– Looking for a teens-and-up home where everyone is old enough to enjoy her energy and help her build confidence

– Can be socially awkward and tends to be a linebacker-type player with other dogs; will likely do best with a select group of rough-and-tumble dog friends with a similar play style (dog intro required)

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
