– Loves to be busy and connect with people through play and other activities; enjoys toys and being silly – Knows sit and is treat motivated; would benefit from continued work on his manners since he can sometimes be a bouncy teenager and forget to be polite – Does best with a harness on walks – Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him; looking for a more mature home where everyone is old enough to enjoy his energy – Tends to be a linebacker-type player with other dogs; will likely do best with a select group of rough-and-tumble dog friends with a similar play style and may enjoy a compatible dog friend in his new home (dog intro required) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
