– Wiggly, energetic, happy-go-lucky goofball who sleeps upside down and snores; likes to play, go on walks, get pets and snuggle

– Can be shy at first and may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; has opened up quite a bit in his foster home and has been adjusting well to new people with just a bit of nervousness

– Likes any toy – squeaky toys, crunchy toys, bones, tennis balls, ropes – all of them; unless he’s sleeping, he’s squeaking or crunching his toys

– Enjoys playing fetch in the yard, but he’s also content to roll around on the carpet with a stuffy, tossing it around all by himself

– Loves all types of treats and takes them gently

– Has been fully potty trained in his foster home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule

– Does excellent on a leash and in his crate

– Has mastered sit in his foster home and has the most enthusiastic plop!

– Does fine in the car once he has settled down and enjoys sticking his head out the window

– Has been doing very well with the dog in his foster home and loves to play and wrestle but also responds very well when the other dog has had enough; may take some time to warm up to new dogs (dog intro recommended)

– Really wants to be friends with the cat in his foster home, but the cat says no; may do well with a cat in his new home after a slow introduction

– Young, noisy or busy children may be too much for him, and he may be happiest in a more mature home

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing a primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
