– Shy girl who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home – Once she feels comfortable, she loves being with you and may wiggle into your lap for pets – she’s very sweet – Enjoys squeaky toys – Knows sit – Young, active children will likely be too much for her right now, so she’s looking for a teens-and-up home where everyone understands dog body language – Tends to be an introvert around other dogs and may prefer one-on-one interactions or smaller groups of dog friends; may benefit from a confident but calm dog friend in her new home (dog intro required) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
