Additional Details

– May need extra time to warm up to new people and things, but once she feels comfortable she is very sweet and cuddly; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home

– Recently went on a Dog’s Day Out field trip: “She’s the sweetest and most gentle dog. She’s super curious about her surroundings, very aware and smart. She doesn’t bark and is definitely not high maintenance. She does very well on a leash, every once in a while she will stop to sniff things or just look at her surroundings – soaking everything in. She seemed to be curious about people and kids on her walk. Also, when she would see dogs go by she would never bark, just stood politely and wagged her tail. She gave many kisses and was definitely a big lover girl. She is absolutely precious and a very sweet, polite little lady!”

– Can be a couch potato and prefers shorter walks; if you’re looking for a dog who is more chill than energetic, she might be a great choice

– Already knows sit and walks well with a harness

– Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her, and she can also be overwhelmed when there are a lot of people around her (mature home recommended)

– Can be unsure of other dogs and may prefer some dogs over others (dog intro required)

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
