– Loves people and companionship – Smart girl who knows sit, shake and down – Loves to learn and has great focus – especially if you have treats – so would be a lot of fun to train – Recently went on a Dog’s Day Out field trip and had a great time with her human companions: “She is very playful and was responsive on the leash. Her favorite thing was just sniffing everything around her. She seemed anxious in the car but was happy if the window was down a little so she could see out.” – Enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar play style – Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her (mature home recommended) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
