– Came to us from a situation where he did not get the exposure to “normal” dog things that most dogs get from a young age; will need patience while adjusting to his new home, and will most likely need continued work on things like leash walking, crate training, and potty training

– Has been coming out of his shell and learning to trust; once he feels comfortable he likes being near you and being petted

– Likes tennis balls and treats and they may be a great way to bond with him

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
