– Very nice boy who may take a minute to warm up, but if you are kind and let him come to you he’s happy to hop into your lap for attention and pets

– Likes chew toys and slept in bed with his family at night

– Knows sit and likes treats

– Has been around children of all ages, but loud noises can make him uncomfortable, so calmer kids might be best for him

– Has been around cats and did fine with them

– Tends to be socially awkward with other dogs but would probably get along with some rough-and-tumble pals (dog intro recommended)

– Previous family said he is crate-trained and did best crated when they were not home

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
