HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email petbehavior@arl-iowa.org. — – Can take some time to warm up to new people, but once you’re friends you’re in forever – She is a very big cuddle bug and will happily place herself in your space and demand pets – Loves to play with toys, specifically tennis balls – Recently went on a Dog’s Day out and met a family, did well with the younger sister and mother, took some extra time to warm up to the father, and did amazing in the drive through waiting for her pup cup – LOVES back and booty scratches! – May take some time to settle into a new home, would benefit from a more mature home that can help her learn a new routine – Has met some dogs while in our care, she tends to prefer a dog with a similar play style, and will need a dog intro to make sure everyone gets along The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
