❤️Sometimes love is right in front of you … and you just miss the connection. This dog is part of our Missed Connections club – a group of our most patient pups who’ve been waiting longer than others to find their soulmate. Take a closer look – they could be your perfect match! Adoption fee: $45. A lifetime of love: Priceless.❤️ — – Loves peanut butter and enjoys freeing the stuffing and squeakers from stuffed toys – May prefer to explore and do his own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once he’s in a loving home environment and has had time to decompress – Knows sit – good boy! – Eager to see the world, so he’ll do best with a harness on walking adventures – Young kiddos may overwhelm this fella – looking for a teens-and-up home right now – Can be socially awkward around other dogs; may prefer to be the only dog in his home (dog intro required) – Tested heartworm positive and received a full course of treatment here; will receive a free recheck at the ARL in a few months to make sure he’s in the clear (more info at ARL) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
