– Full of life and loves everything and everyone – adults, kids, dogs and cats

– Enjoys chew toys, balls and just exploring the world; when she’s not playing she adores snuggling with her people

– Likes to take a dip in a pond or ditch and finds many treasures like sticks and grass to show off to everyone

– Can be a little timid when she meets new people, but it usually takes her only a few minutes to warm up

– Knows sit, stay and down, takes treats nicely, and is very treat-motivated

– Does very well on a leash and appreciates getting plenty of exercise each day; would love a family who involves her in their regular activities

– Her foster family said she’s not quite potty trained yet, but knows how to use the doggie door and does well in the house

– Very calm and quiet in the car; may be a bit nervous on car rides

– Seems to love children and gives out lots of kisses, but she’s still has some puppy energy and may be a bit much for toddlers; may benefit from a more mature home

– Has enjoyed playing with other dogs in her foster home and may love having a like-minded dog friend in her new home

– Was friendly toward the cats in her foster home, but the cats weren’t interested in being friends with her

– An absolute joy to have around – she’ll make someone very happy!

– Arrived at the ARL with avulsion fractures to her knees (more info at ARL)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
