– Loves people – and everyone seems to love him! Likes to be at the center of whatever’s going on

– Well-behaved boy who adores treats and booty scratches

– Really enjoys walks and does best with a harness; gets excited when we’re about to take him out and bounces happily so his front feet come just off the ground; would be a great walking buddy – and daily walks would be great for helping him shed a few pounds so he can feel his best

– Will play with tennis balls a little but gives up quickly; may be more interested once he’s in a home environment

– Knows sit

– Tends to be a linebacker-type player with other dogs; will likely do best with a select group of rough-and-tumble dog friends with a similar play style and may prefer to be the only dog in his home (dog intro required)

– Needs a home with no cats

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
