– A social guy who likes attention; can be reserved here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once he’s in a home environment and has had time to decompress – Likes walks and does best with a harness – Was potty trained in his previous home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine – Was also kennel trained in his previous home and would go into his kennel when told “kennel” – Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him right now; would benefit from a calm, mature home that can help him settle in and relax – Did well around small dogs in his previous home and liked to play with them; can be socially awkward with some new dogs though (dog intro required) – We don’t know his history with cats All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
