– Sweet boy who gives little excited hops when greeting us – Loves to cuddle – Knows sit, lay down and come, and likes treats – May need extra time to warm up to new people and things and will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time; would prefer a calm, quiet home – Was fully housetrained in his previous home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine – Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended) – Can be socially awkward, may take some time to warm up to new dogs, and may prefer some dogs over others; would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to new dogs (dog intro required) – Lived with a cat in his previous home This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
