Miss Wiggles
Animal ID: 278839 |
![]() |
– Active, wiggly, affectionate girl – a big dog who thinks she’s small; loves attention, toys and ice cream – Recently went on a Dog’s Day Out field trip: “Miss Wiggles is awesome. She was great in the car. She was initially a little excited but then she settled down once we got going and was content to look out the window. We went for a 90-minute hike through Brown’s Woods, and she still had energy to spare. She’d make a great hiking/adventure buddy. She’s very affectionate, and she enjoyed her pup cup.” – Knows sit and stay and is a great listener when you have treats – Does best with a harness on walks; will pull at first, but does settle down after a while – Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her, and she’d benefit from a more mature home where everyone is big enough to enjoy her size and energy – Can be socially awkward around other dogs, but may enjoy like-minded dog friends; may also do better with larger dogs vs. smaller ones (dog intro required) This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
