– Shy pup who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home

– Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her; would benefit from a more mature home where all family members are old enough to understand her body language

– Tends to be an introvert around other dogs and may need time to warm up or may prefer more low-key dogs; would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to new dogs and may be most comfortable as the only dog in her home (dog intro required)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
