HOW TO ADOPT: This kitten is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this kitten, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org. — Pooh and Toge are Bonded Buddies; they’ll be adopted as a pair – Arrived at the ARL with severe infections in both eyes; doing very well now that his eyes have been removed and is learning to use his other senses to navigate – His foster home has been working with him a lot, and they’ve found he’s incredibly perceptive and becoming more confident with his movements every day; he’s looking for a new family who will introduce him to their home gradually and ensure he feels comfortable in one space before introducing him to another – Very playful and has really been enjoying toys that make noise as they move on the floor so he can find them again; also loves to go up and down the couch – Loves catnip and will lay flat and stick his nose directly into it, then do little zoomies – Has a tendency to want to play with hands and feet, so plan on having toys around to redirect him to appropriate things – His foster family created a “home base” area for him where he can explore from that spot and find his way back; seems to have a system for figuring out where he’s at in his space and will walk the boundary of a room then work to navigate back to his home base – Has been learning to interact with the cats in his foster home, and his foster family has bells on all their collars so he knows where they are – Loves to play and snuggle with his kitten buddy |
