Another busy week at the ARL. Watch out for animals out and about. If you see somehting that does not look right, say something. The cat cafe is open in Valley Junction 312 5th street. $10.00 cover fee to hang out with the cats. Hours are Tuesday/Friday 7Am-8pm Saturday 9am-8pm Sunday 10am- 5pm and closeed on Mondays. Carol and Mick talked about seveal animals who have had tragic situations they have been through and how they are doing now. There is an event on August 8th beginning at 10:30 am at ARL Main Carrie Spain with ARl explains the event.

It was a rough week at the ARL. One of the two kittens who were burned died this weel. Dogs who were not fed were rescued this week. Bernie from the ARL who is handling the HR 737 bIll was on the show this morning talking about the State Senate passing tthe bill 97-0. The bill had to go back to the house because of an ammendment that needs to be addressed. They are holding a rare Saturday session at the state capital today. Call you State Representive. It was not a good week for animals in central Iowa . Carol and Mick talk about what happened and how you can help. House file 737 has passed the State Senate and now goes back to the house. Please tell you house reprensetive you want them to pass the bill. The Raise Your Paw Auction is scheduled for Saturday July 11th at the Iowa Events Center. If they cannot meet at the events center the plan is to hold it virtually.
