- Loves going on walks and does best with a harness
- Does the cutest little butt wiggles and will look back at you on walks to make sure you're still with him
- Loves playing with toys and gets the zoomies when he's excited
- Loves to learn and has great focus - especially if you have treats - so would be a lot of fun to train
- Already knows sit, shake, down and stay
- Does great getting in and out of his kennel in the car and rides quietly
- Prefers to explore and do his own thing here in the shelter, but will likely open up more once he's in a home environment and has had time to decompress
- Tends to be an introvert around other dogs and may prefer one-on-one interactions or smaller groups of dog friends; may not be comfortable at dog parks or at large, dog-friendly events (dog intro recommended)
- Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for them (mature home recommended)
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
