- Once he feels comfortable he's a good mix of chill and busy
- Smart boy who knows sit, shake and down; very treat-motivated
- Loves going on walks and does best with a harness
- Recently went on a Dog's Day Out field trip and had a great time going on walks and getting a pup cup: "He loved rolling around in the grass and putting his head out of the car window. He was so sweet and such a well-behaved dog!"
- Previous family said he was potty trained and crate trained; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new schedule
- Has enjoyed playing with older kids, but young, noisy or busy children can be too much for him (mature home recommended)
- Has lived with small dogs and enjoys spending time with dogs who have a similar active play style
- Has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia in both hips (more info at ARL)
All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)
The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
