Additional Details
- Very active and playful kitty who will do best in a home where someone will play with her often; may benefit from having another active cat to play with
- Likes playing with all kinds of cat toys, especially wand toys; will play fetch with ball toys!
- Friendly and likes a lot of attention, but prefers affection on her terms; will often brush up against your leg or hand but prefers to make her own decisions about when, where, and how long you'll pet her
- Prefers not to be pet on her belly, even though she does like showing you her belly!
- Will occasionally sit in your lap or cuddle with you on the couch or in bed at night, but she decides whether or not she will allow you to pet her
- Good at communicating through body language; looking for a cat-savvy home where all family members are mature enough to understand and respect her signals
- Doesn't have tolerance for young, noisy or busy children, so she's looking for a calm, predictable home with mature family members
- Often rubs or playfully pounces on legs and feet while you are walking, so she likely is not a good fit for a household that includes people with mobility issues
- Has a strong preference for wet food, but will nibble on dry food left out in between meals; enjoys the water fountain in her foster home, but also drinks from a bowl
- Overall has a quirky personality and it might take a little time for her and her humans to get used to each other, but she is definitely worth the effort and would make a wonderful addition to the family
This cat has shown signs of overstimulation while in the shelter. Lots of handling, playing with hands, and excessive petting can cause them to overstimulate, which can result in scratching and/or biting. This cat is looking for experienced cat owners who will watch this cat's body language while interacting to note signs of overstimulation (tail waving, fur rippling, dilated pupils, ears turned back and quick body movements) and be willing to respect their boundaries. This cat will also benefit from interactive toys such as wands and ball spinners while playing. We are happy to speak with you more when you visit and can provide post-adoption resources. If you can give this cat mental stimulation, patience and space when they need it, please consider adopting! They would love to be your sidekick and buddy for life!
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
