By the time Wrigley arrived at the Animal Rescue League, he had been in pain for a very long time.
His ears were raw, inflamed and filled with discharge from raging ear infections. They throbbed and ached constantly. He’d been suffering for so long that the inflammation had permanently damaged the insides of his ears, making it harder to cure any infection.
We started him on an aggressive course of treatment to relieve his pain and help him heal. But sadly, after more than two months in our care, our veterinarians have determined that his ears are so damaged that he needs major surgery to rid him of his infections and improve his quality of life.
This senior boy with the gray muzzle and soulful eyes has been a wonderful patient so far, and he deserves a chance to finally live pain-free.
