TheraPets Event Request

*Completion of this form does not guarantee TheraPets for your event. To give adequate time to find available volunteers, requests MUST be received a minimum 45 days in advance of your event. If special circumstances (bereavement, crisis intervention/support); first submit your request, then email volunteer@arl-iowa.org, as we can try to accommodate.

• We can only consider events located in Central Iowa at this time.
• Free parking close to the event site must be provided to our volunteers.
• Our TheraPets Teams cannot visit where/when food is being prepared or served.
• If your event is outdoors, proper shelter must be available. In cases of extreme weather, events without alternate locations may be cancelled.
• Unless otherwise noted, our volunteers may take & share photos of your event. If not allowed, be sure to specify in “Special Requirements” box.
• Please tag @ARLIowa and #ARLTheraPets in any photos you share on social media!
• Actual visit length is dependent on each animal’s individual needs. The amount of time TheraPets Teams can spend at any event is 2 hours maximum

Please note: Due to insurance regulations, TheraPets Teams are never allowed to visit private residences unless under the direct guidance and supervision of a home health care agency who is a current TheraPets Partner and requests the visit on behalf of their client.
