PUPPY LIFE SKILLS is for puppies between 8 weeks and 22 weeks on the first day of class. This class gets puppies off on the right paw using positive reinforcement techniques. Class topics may include the following, but are often tailored to individual classes:

  • Understanding how your puppy interacts and communicates with the world and you
  • Controlled introductions to new experiences to build confidence (socialization)
  • Introduction to basic life skills
  • Addressing and working through frustration during training
  • Appropriate dog interactions in and out of play
  • Mental vs. physical enrichment and how they play a role in development and coping
  • Problem solving and prevention

Fees
$100, 4 sessions of 50-minute lessons.

Note about Treats
The best way to train your pet is through the proper use of positive reinforcement and rewards. Please bring plenty of high-value treats to class, such as cut-up hot dogs, cheese, chicken, and chewy training treats. You’ll likely use more than you think!
