Celebrate heroes big and small with the ARL and City of Des Moines First Responders!
Join us for an adoption event at our Animal Services building at 1441 Harriet St. on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Adoption fees will be $50 for all dogs and cats ages 6+ months ALL DAY (at ARL Animal Services only).
All day (10 a.m. to 6 p.m)
$50 adoption fees for all cats and dogs 6+ months!
All pets come spay/neutered, microchipped, and with age-appropriate vaccinations.
Visit with sweet adoptable pets looking for their second chance.
Celebration Open House! (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
Meet and greet with some of our city’s heroes – INCLUDING a K-9 officer
Explore a fire truck and police car
Fun activities for kids
Light snacks
Pup cups for adopted dogs
