HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email meetme@arl-iowa.org. — – Loves all people and enjoys cuddling and being petted – Likes any and all toys, including Kongs, Nylabones, or even just a stuffy to destroy; also loves bully sticks – Loves to look out the window and could do it all day – Very quiet but will bark when the vacuum cleaner comes out – Does great in the car – Knows sit and stay – Has been potty trained and crate-trained in his foster home and does great in the crate when his foster family is gone; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine – Can be socially awkward and a linebacker-type player with other dogs, but may enjoy like-minded dog friends (dog intro required) – Tested heartworm positive and has been receiving treatment (more info at ARL) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
