Additional Details

– Very sweet girl who loves scratches and will bury her head under your arm while you pet her

– Came from a farm environment and will need some help learning to walk on a leash; may also need work on things such as kennel training

– Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her; would benefit from a more mature home where all family members are old enough to help her build confidence

– Has lived with other dogs and has done well except that she does not like to share her food with other dogs; management may be needed if she lives in a multi-dog home, including feeding separately (dog intro required)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
