HOW TO ADOPT: This dog is available for adoption by appointment. To schedule a time to meet this dog, please email Brian at bmadison@arl-iowa.org. — – Can be shy, especially at first, and may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home – Likes being petted once she feels comfortable – Knows sit and loves to learn, especially if you have treats – May tend to avoid other dogs (dog intro recommended) – We don’t know her history with kids or cats This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
