HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org

– Adorable, gentle cat who just wants all the love in the world – she loves attention!

– Enjoys snuggling right up next to you when you sleep and is a serious lap cat too!

– Loves to look out the window from a tall cat tree and watch the outdoor critters scamper around

– Likes to play with her cat toys

– Likes to be brushed

– May have some hearing loss, but it does not impact her quality of life

– Part of her tail was amputated due to an injury, but it doesn’t bother her at all (it’s just a little shorter than normal)!

– This animal is likely in early stages of kidney failure based on urine specific gravity and blood work we ran. Animals in kidney failure may need additional diagnostics or medications throughout life at adopters’ cost. Kidney failure is a progressive disease and will worsen over time. Many animals can have good quality of life for years with proper therapy, though it is impossible to predict how the disease will progress. Please consult your veterinarian prior to adoption. If you choose to adopt this animal, you will be required to sign a medical waiver stating you understand above mentioned information. Any further expenses related to diagnostics and treatment will be at your discretion and expense.

All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
