– Happy girl who gives the best kisses and is always ready to join you for an adventure

– Recently went on a Dog’s Day Out field trip and had a fantastic time: “Miss Mink had a delightful day. We went to a park and walked to a coffee shop, where she enjoyed a pup cup and plenty of pets. We capped the day with a walk around Grays Lake, where she wanted to meet everyone that walked past us (two- and four-legged). She would be a fabulous dog for an active family. Even after 4 miles, she seemed to have a lot of energy left and was ready to keep going.”

– Likes balls and stuffed toys, and enjoys chewing on bones

– Knows sit and does pretty well on a leash and in the car

– Has done well in a kennel when her foster family is gone and at night; whines a little at first but then settles down and is quiet

– Bouncy and can forget her mouth manners at times – she just gets so excited! – may need some help with that in her new home

– Young, active, or noisy kids may be too much for her right now (mature home recommended)

– A social butterfly with other dogs and has done well with the dogs in her foster home; likes taking their toys and parading them around, trying to lure them in to a game

– We don’t know her history with cats

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
