Additional Details

– Came from a situation where she didn’t receive the socialization and exposure to the world that young dogs normally get; because of this she may need help getting comfortable with a leash and collar and will need patience with housetraining

– Also came from a situation where many dogs were cohoused without supervision, so if she goes to a multi-dog home, please plan on monitoring everyone around food, toys and other things until relationships are formed

– May benefit from having a friendly, confident dog friend in her new home to show her the ropes

– May need some extra help learning about the world and gaining confidence, but it will be so rewarding to earn her trust and watch her blossom

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
