– Shy pup who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home

– Likes pets once she feels comfortable, has shown interest in toys and really likes treats – they may be a great way to bond with her

– Does well on a leash

– May take some time to warm up to other dogs and may prefer one-on-one interactions or smaller groups of dog friends; would likely benefit from a calm but confident dog friend in her new home (dog intro recommended)

– Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her right now; would benefit from a more mature home with family members who can help her continue to build confidence

– We don’t know her history with cats

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
