– Can be shy and may need extra time to warm up, but loves being with people once she feels comfortable; may be happiest in a calm, quiet home – Knows sit, shake and down and loves learning with treats – Young, noisy or busy children can be too much for her (mature home recommended) – Very uncomfortable with dogs interacting with her and is quick to tell them off; needs to be the only dog in her home right now and most likely will not be comfortable at dog parks or at large, dog-friendly events This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you’re interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
