– Social guy who will go right up to new people and say hi; loves to be at the center of whatever’s going on

– An affectionate cuddler who snores when he sleeps

– Knows sit, down and shake and loves treats; would be fun to train

– Loves going on walks and does best with a harness

– Was fully housetrained and crate-trained in his previous home; just remember that any dog may need time to get used to a new routine

– Has lived with children and did well; would benefit from a more mature home where all family members are old enough to be OK with his size and energy

– May do well with like-minded dog friends, but may not always want to share his food, chews or toys with other dogs (dog intro recommended)

– Previous family said he did well with adult cats but not kittens; we would recommend a very slow introduction to any resident felines to set everyone up for success

– May have allergies (more info at ARL)

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
