HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org — – Sweet, gentle and soft kitty – Friendly and affectionate; she wants to be near her humans! – She is very curious and will want to explore her new home! – Is doing well with the other cat in her foster home, and may enjoy another calm cat friend in her new home – Will likely do well with older children who are gentle with her This cat has been monitored for visual deficits while in our care. We believe she has some degree of decreased vision, but we do not have advanced equipment to thoroughly evaluate the inner area of her eye to determine a cause. These visual deficits are likely life-long changes that will require further exam by your veterinarian and routine monitoring. She may need additional diagnostics and/or treatment in the future, which would be at the adopter’s cost and discretion. Please consult with your veterinarian prior to adoption. You will also need to consider if your home environment is suitable for her needs, including social relationships with other animals/humans and home layout. If you choose to give this cat a chance, you will need to sign a waiver indicating you understand the aforementioned information. |
