– Stunning cat looking for an experienced, cat-savvy adopter

– She LOVES cheese, and cheese flavored treats, especially Churu (this is a great way to bond with her)

– Is quite vocal and will share her loud meow with you, as well as her soft purr

– Is NOT a lap cat, and prefers not to be picked up, but enjoys being in the same room with you, and sitting next to you, once trust is established

– Requires a committed adopter who is willing and able to provide professional grooming and/or the time and ability to brush her and wipe out her eyes on a regular basis (she likes to be brushed)!

– This Persian cat came to us from a large breeding situation after the owner passed away. While undeniably beautiful, their early life was very different from that of a typical house cat.

– These cats received limited handling and socialization, which means they may be fearful in new environments and around unfamiliar people. They are not naturally outgoing and may take a long time to feel safe in a home. Many may never enjoy being picked up or held, and affection (if it comes), will be on their terms.

At intake, several of these cats were severely matted and many were treated for upper respiratory infections, both common in crowded, high-stress breeding environments. They have received veterinary care and grooming, but these experiences may have been stressful and contribute to their sensitivity to handling.

– Because of this background, adopters should expect:
•A slow adjustment period, with hiding and avoidance early on,
•Patience when introducing grooming, carriers, and veterinary care,
•A relationship built on trust and routine rather than physical affection

– These cats have lived with other cats their entire lives, and many may benefit from having a calm, confident feline companion to help them feel more secure and show them the ropes in a home environment.

– This cat would do best in a quiet, predictable home with an adopter who understands fearful or under-socialized cats and values providing safety and stability over having a cuddly lap cat. While progress may be slow, the right home can help this cat feel safe and thrive in their own way.

– Not a good fit for a home with children, so she is looking for a more mature home

All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
