– Loves people and being petted – don’t be surprised if he wiggles into your lap and nuzzles up against you

– Very affectionate and gives lots of kisses

– Really likes stuffed toys

– Knows sit and does well on a leash

– Previous family said he is mostly potty-trained and knows the words “go outside”

– May not always want to share his favorite things with people and other animals; looking for a teens-and-up home where all family members can understand his signals and respect his boundaries, and if he goes to a home with other dogs, please plan on managing toys and other items to set everyone up for success

– Can be more of an introvert with other dogs and may prefer one-on-one interactions or smaller groups of dog friends; could enjoy a like-minded friend to play with that isn’t too rough-and-tumble (dog intro recommended)

All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)

The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label.
