– A sweet, calm lady who loves spending time with her people – Seems to prefer playing with her people rather than toys and will like running around with you – Smart girl who knows sit, shake and down – Will roll over on her back for belly rubs – Walks nicely on a leash – Tends to be an introvert around other dogs and may prefer one-on-one interactions or smaller groups of dog friends who have a similar play style; may not be comfortable at dog parks or at large, dog-friendly events (dog intro recommended) – Needs a teens and above home This pet is considered to be in their senior years and may enjoy calmer activities and environments. They may also have medical or behavior needs related to their age. Click here for tips for making a comfortable life for senior pets. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age) The ARL’s shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. |
